Unlike most of the other memorial houses in Bucharest, the Liviu and Fany Rebreanu Memorial House was set up in an apartment where the great Romanian writer didn’t actually live. It does, however, display a collection of exhibits consisting of sundry personal effects, photographs, manuscripts and works of art once owned by Liviu Rebreanu.

A special attention is paid to the exhibits which call forth the activity and life of Fany Rebreanu, wife of Liviu Rebreany and mother of Puia-Florica Rebreanu, the daughter of the great novelist. In fact, it is to Florica Rebreanu that the memorial house owes its existence, since it was her will that after her death (in 1995) the apartment be transformed into a memorial house. The venue is managed by the Museum of the Romanian Literature.
