The contribution of Maria Filotti to the history of the Romanian theater in the first half of the 20th century comes down to the artistry poured in the roles she played as an actress and to her management skills as theater director.

The Maria Filotti Private Collection is set up in the very residence of the actress. It was opened to the visiting public in 1965, 9 years after the death of Maria Filotti. In fact, it was the will of the actress that her home be transformed into a memorial house. The exhibits (personal effects, paintings, photographs) convey a comprehensive picture of the life and activity of Maria Filotti, with an understandable emphasis on the great achievements and heydays of the successful carrier of this actress.
