Except for the fact the Roman Square (Piaţa Romană) is yet another public square of Bucharest, and that it is approximately centrally located in the city, the venue does not necessarily strike by special tourist virtues. The most significant architectural structure refers to the Commercial Academy Palace with its legendary roof ball.

The square marks the intersection of two chief thoroughfares, namely, the Magheru Boulevard and the Lascăr Catargiu Boulevard, and it is easily accessible by metro.
