EUROPAfest

EUROPAfest is a music festival the first edition of which was held in 1993. The impact of this festival on the artistic scene of Bucharest is substantiated by both its endurance and its increasing popularity to the public at large. Craftsmen Fair

The Craftsmen Fair is usually held in mid May. The fair is occasioned by the anniversary of the Dimitre Gusti Village Museum, the host of the event. Hundreds of craftsmen from all corners of Romania flock to the Village Museum and demonstrate in front of the visiting public the knowledge they have amassed in respect to the ancestral traditions of pottery, weaving, wood sculpture and plenty other folk arts.

Jeunesses International Music Competition

Jeunesses International Music Competition is, it too, part of the EUROPAfest concept. Gay Fest

ACCEPT is the main national organization involved in setting up the events occasioned by Gay Fest. D’ale Bucureştilor

D’ale Bucureştilor is basically a music festival with folk and medieval music performances held in the historical district of the city. The narrow meandering streets of the old city, next to the architectural patrimony of the area, yield the ideal backdrop for the specific events occasioned by the festival.

Bucharest International Biennial for Contemporary Art

The Bucharest International Biennial for Contemporary Art (Bucharest Biennale) is one of the most reputed art festivals in Bucharest. BIFE

BIFE is the largest furniture and interior decoration exhibition in Bucharest. Open Romania

Open Romania is the most prestigious tennis tournament in the country and, at the same time, one of the most celebrated sports events organized in Bucharest. George Enescu International Festival

The George Enescu International Festival is one of the most prestigious classical music festivals in Europe. The festival is organized every other year, bringing together in Bucharest thousands of international artists and orchestras who compete in front of an impressive public. The eXplore Dance Festival is the Bucharest’s International Contemporary Dance and Performance Festival. Kinofest

Kinofest was first organized in 2007, and its aim is to become a reliable platform for the affirmation of young artists looking for a way to make their work in the field of short movies, photography and, generally, digital art and new media, known to the public at large.
